Google has long bucked conventions…free service, spartan home page, revolutionizing advertising…and now, a FOR PROFIT charity.

Unconventional. High Minded. Well intentioned.

Wired magazine had a good article over the summer about the guy who is running the charity part of Google’s business. It’s online now at http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/14.07/brilliant.html

I also read elsewhere that they are working on / funding research to develop a 100mpg car. I’m sure there are many who can’t wait for that to happen. That would definitely impact the world significantly.
