I think this is very true for starting a business, especially on the internet. Refined processes and systems will maximize what teams can do. As humans we naturally function in systems. In a startup, unlike the corporate world, you have to define and create your own systems. The E-myth Revisted by Michael E. Gerber and Getting Things Done by David Allen is also two great reads that imply big things about systems. I ran into a good quote awhile back, I forgot from where:
