Fresh BaseCamping (coming soon)
It’s almost here…coming very soon to FreshBooks is a seamless integration with 37 Signals’ Basecamp project management service.

Here is what you can expect from this integration:

All of this will allow you to take advantage of Basecamp’s project management excellence, along with FreshBooks’ invoicing and time-tracking genius. We’ve been working hard at this to make sure the workflow will be smooth and un-intrusive.
Using both services, we hope you will have everything you need to manage your projects, communicate better with your clients, bill more and collect faster.

Wow, I am impressed and excited as well. We just recently made the move to ActiveCollab, away from Basecamp, but this just might make us have to move back!
Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Sounds great!
We are one of those “heavy users” of Basecamp with 100+ projects, AND we use freshbooks.
If you need someone to hammer on it hard to test under load, send an email

You say “almost” – but, any more details on when exactly this will be released? I’m really looking forward to it.
thanks,

We’re thrilled for this integration, and it’s a big part of why we signed up for FB in the first place. Glad it’s coming along.
Now, if you could only find a way to notify us when somebody pays their invoice… like immediate emails sent out…

Ahha, Levi, Mike… I was wondering when this was going to happen. Congrats.
Cheers!

Sounds great!
Question: Will there be a built in way to make sure those of us who already have mirrors of projects/clients/staff profiles in both FB and Basecamp won’t be duplicated?
I really can’t wait for this to go live!

Great!! I saw this one coming
We are currently using our own project management tool, but looking forward to give BaseCamp a try!
Fantastic idea!

37Signals.com will release a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform called Highrise “very soon” too…

Hmm. Wouldn’t Freshbooks invoicing integrate more closely with CRM than a project management application like Basecamp?
Basecamp has no Timer application. So, it will be interesting to see this integration.
Very good developement!

Thank you for all your comments. The integration is now available in your FreshBooks account. You can read about it here: http://www.freshbooks.com/blog/2007/03/01/introducing-basecamp-with-your-freshbooks/
Tobias, CRM is definitely a consideration, thanks for the tip.

Hi Plungerman,
Sorry about that, for some reason the post was set to private over night (Mike explained it in his latest post), but the link should work now. Our bad.
