Some things to consider when purchasing noise cancelling headsets:
- The increased cost
- Power consumption if you are using a battery powered head set
- Noise cancelling is only good for noisy background sounds. If your co-worker is yapping away beside you, it’s not going to help much.

For the record, my comment was in jest and I take ergonomics very seriously and do not want to undermine the discomfort that can arise when you work at a desk. Desk height, charis, headsets, keyboard trays and working hard on your posture are all really important considerations when you drive a desk. Don't skimp on your reseach or your spending in getting your workstation set up.
