I will echo that most folks don't need everything. There are also a chunk of users who need something specific (eg. invoice followup and cash collection takes too much of my time when I do it with Quickbooks because, unlike freshbooks, there is no automation) So, some have switched to freshbooks for both reasons. (Don't need all the power of Quickbooks, and there is some very specific stuff that is needed) But, given your direction of not being a full fledged accounting program, wouldn't it make sense to have a simple way of exporting data into Quickbooks? Whether it is a summary journal entry of payments received and new invoices, or detailed invoices and payments by customer, either is ok in my opinion. All great comments, and it is nice to understand a little bit of your direction.
