FreshBooks (totally) redesigned
After countless hours of testing, we’re pleased to announce the total redesign of the FreshBooks interface.
Highlights of the new release include:
- account statements;
- lighter, faster pages;
- a colour picker that is really fun to use;
- support ticketing has received an interface update;
- and again, total interface redesign.

We’ve affectionately named this release “Sexy Beast” (Daniel bought us the cake to celebrate the release… and yes… it’s an ice cream cake).
We’ll be spending today taming the beast (read: squashing any bugs we may have missed in our testing) and generally tweaking things. You can expect more tweaks and improvements in our upcoming release. As always (and since this was such a big release), if you come across something we should investigate, please send us a note. Otherwise, we would love to hear what you think of the new design — please comment below and let us have it.

Honestly…
After all of the anticipation it isn’t as totally redesigned and much different looking than what I was expecting.
That being said, I do like it better than the old version.

Beautiful! I had expected I’d need to tweak my custom colors, but they appeared in the new design just as I’d like. The whole redesign looks much, uh, fresher and continues to set FreshBooks apart from other similar services. Well done, team. Bravo!

Great job, guys! This new interface is much more easy to navigate, and not as cluttered as the old one (in regards to the navigation).
Now all that’s missing is the clean URLs (/invoices/recurring , /staff/new, etc.).
And could you please specify Helvetica Neue before Arial in your CSS? I hate having to see such a pretty interface getting botched up by an ugly typeface. I’m currently getting around it with a custom user stylesheet, but it’d be nice if I didn’t have to patch the holes myself. That aside, this really is a vast improvement. Congratulations!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention it, but we did go ahead and fix up the stylesheet font declarations, so our Mac friends can now enjoy the beauty of Helvetica.

“There are no ’similar services’. FreshBooks is alone at the top of the industry!”
