After a long but very rewarding day of hashing out who we are as a business and who you are as customers, we are happy to report that we are back at it today.
If you have any questions about how FreshBooks works, how you might want to use it with your business, or just want to chat you can drop us a line at 1.866.303.6061, send us a note or chime in on the forum.
Have a great Friday and a great weekend!
Good evening!
Just a friendly note to let you know that tomorrow morning—and for most of the afternoon (Thursday September 27)—the entire FreshBooks team will be spending our time huddled together, brains working furiously, to figure out how we can serve you better! No joke.
The (ironic) downside of this dedication to serving you: we won’t be able to serve you tomorrow with our regular outstanding (!) level of phone and e-mail support.
So, in brief: we will not be offering phone or e-mail support on Thursday. Sorry folks!
That said, just head on over to the FreshBooks forums! It’s a great place to get assistance from other FreshBooks users. They won’t bite.
Thanks for your understanding, and we look forward to reconnecting with you on Friday!

I am the owner of Supportus Maximus computer support and web design in Hollywood, California. I am also the host of FatFreeFilm, the indie film podcast.
“Thanks, FreshBooks for helping me be a ‘breath of fresh air’ to my clients.”
I have been using FreshBooks for a little under a year and it has made conducting business so much easier. Here’s an example:
I was at a client’s house and I pulled up FreshBooks to enter in data about the job I was on. The client, who is a very successful business man himself, was looking over my shoulder and said to me, “What is that?” I said to him, “It’s my fancy-schmancy record-keeping, invoicing system that I use to organize my business.” He said, “Wow, that is fancy-schmancy. You know, I gotta tell you, you are a breath of fresh air.”
I have to give you guys credit. Thanks, FreshBooks, for helping me be a “breath of fresh air” to my clients.
Being a small business owner, computer tech, website designer, podcaster, actor and filmmaker, I don’t like to waste time. FreshBooks helps me have the time to do all the things I do, and keep it all in order.
Hey there, Fresh Fans! How would you like to win yourself a brand spankin’ new iPhone?
Well, we’re running a contest on YouTube to give one away! Just tell us, in two minutes or less, why FreshBooks is better than an iPhone. If we think you’ve got the best response, the iPhone is all yours, baby.
Digg this video!
Check out the full contest rules, and then post your video response on YouTube by Monday, October 8th. We want to see entries from as many FreshBooks users as possible, so like the video says, don’t be shy; make yourself heard—and seen!
Don’t be afraid of YouTube!
You don’t even need special software to record your own video; if you’ve got a webcam, or you can borrow one in the next couple weeks, you can record straight to YouTube. Most camera phones these days can record video, too.
If you’re having any trouble, just post a comment and we’ll gladly give you a hand, cause we’d love to hear from you. There’s a reason YouTube became so popular; because it’s so darned easy to get your videos on there.
We look forward to seeing some of your great videos in the next few weeks. Have fun, people, and good luck!

One thing that I love about working at FreshBooks is that you can go to almost any city in the world and call up a customer to take them out to dinner.
Last week, Mike and I were in San Francisco for the amazing Office 2.0 conference. We found ourselves at 3pm last Tuesday waiting for the CalTrain back to San Francisco. Finally having a spare moment, we dialed customers frantically while express CalTrains rocketed past us. (I felt like we were in some Bay Area version of Pushing Tin.) By 5pm, we had 7 customers and a restaurant booked: the wonderful Brazilian bistro, Espetus. I personally recommend their mango salad.
I just want to thank our FreshBooks customers for coming out to meet us. Meeting our customers was really the highlight of our trip. It didn’t hurt that a few of them took us out for drinks at Zeitgeist, which is my new favourite bar in San Francisco. So, thank you (left-to-right in the photo above):
As celebrities from Hollywood and all over the world descend on our great city for the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival this week, we here at FreshBooks felt the time was right to launch our first volley into the unsuspecting world of cinema.
Watch out film fest, here comes FreshBooks!
Okay… so a two-minute recruitment video isn’t likely to get us into Short Cuts Canada, nor will it earn us much street cred with the Academy. But for a bunch of people unaccustomed to sunlight—let alone cameras—there are some valiant performances held within!
So why did we create this epic story? (Or, depending on who you ask, why did we shamelessly rip it from a Saturday Night Live digital short?)
It’s simple, really…
FreshBooks is hiring!
That’s right, folks. We’re looking for a few good people to join our team. In particular, we’re looking for a developer, a designer, and a support specialist.
To help us find just the right fit for our organization, our good friends and compatriots at StandoutJobs.com helped us put together a short film to provide some insight into the kind of company we are, and to help us spread our reach and find that perfect fit.

Interested in viewing your invoices and collected revenue in a nice looking graph? Now you can with our new graph generator.
A few months ago, we released our redesigned API which gave you the ability to access and update your FreshBooks information for your custom solutions.
At that time, I released a nice little tool to import your items to your FreshBooks account from comma delimited text. This month, I made this easy to use graph generator with the help of the LastXgraph PHP library and the FreshBooks API.

All you have to do is enable your API for your system and enter your API credentials. Next, click the large submit button and, presto!, a nice graphical representation of your invoices and collected revenue appears.
The source code is written in PHP is available in the sample code section of our developers section.
