Eric - you truly are my hero! Thanks FB for featuring great gurus...Everything I've ever learned about CSS, I've learned from Eric and gang.

Maybe someday I'll have the money to go to An Event Apart. It's my new goal. :)

Hi Peg: I haven't read "CSS Website Design", but I don't believe "On CSS" is aimed at beginners either. I'd describe it as a hands-on book that teaches you a variety of CSS strategies and best practices.

The comment "Love it or leave it" is profound in so many ways. As a web designer here in Miami, I find many days when I feel that I've accomplished little or nothing... except putting out fires. The unending "nagging little problems" often become overwhelming. Whether it be the 15 messages on voice mail when returning from lunch or configuring Outlook over the phone (my worst nightmare) or troubleshooting that one pesky CSS div that just won't render right in IE6... These "little things" all conspire to derail you and test your resolve. If I didn't TRULY love doing web design, I'd have been gone a long time ago.

I have a copy of Eric's "CSS Web Site Design", and I am afraid my foundation is not quite solid enough for this book.

Eric (or anyone), is "Eric Meyer on CSS " more for newbies?

thanks

I happen to own a copy of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Eric-Meyer-CSS-Mastering-Language/dp/073571245X" rel="nofollow">Eric Meyer on CSS</a>. I picked up a lot of great web design practices reading it, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
