Just to note for people reading this later: Bootstrap became Outright, which is still integrated with FreshBooks - information available in later blog posts and via the Add-Ons page.

Awesome, can't wait to get my hands around this. I'm hoping this saves us from another IRS audit!

I'm definitely keen on seeing an expenses integration. I'll look into what we can do at FreshBooks to make that happen.

Jake: currently we don't download your expenses. The FreshBooks api does not currently provide a way for us to do that. We are looking in to a way to export your expenses from FreshBooks in a CSV file and then importing them into GoBootstrap.com. You can then start using GoBootstrap.com to track you no reimbursable expenses.

I would love to hear more about the performance issues. We regularly monitor the site and its performance.

My best guess is that the performance issues you are referring to have to do with the FreshBooks invoice download process. We have an item on our todo list to make it run in a background process. That way you won't have to wait while your account is synchronized with FreshBooks.

Thanks for all of your comments and please let us know specifically the issues you are referring to and we'll fix them right away. We take performance and reliability very seriously.

Looks like a great service, glad to see useful services pop-up that integrate with Freshbooks. Upon trying it out, it seems like they need better hosting though.

Their application seems to be running into issues scaling and handling requests. It seems that this blog post has caused a digg-like effect... "The Freshbooks Effect" ! :)

Being single-homed to Cogent doesn't help much either. Also not having SSL is weak for a financial application. :(

Hope to see some improvements on their end-- but looks very impressive for "day one".
