FreshBooks on Fox Business News
“Well the tens of thousands of Americans who have recently lost their job as a result of this economic downturn may turn to our next guest to get back on their feet”.
These are the words that introduced Mike this morning on the Fox News Business show Money for Breakfast. With all that is going on today, everyone is trying to find better ways to run their businesses, and we were pretty honored to be on Fox New Business to talk about FreshBooks.

3:54 pm
Very well done, Mike. You were very quick and your description of your company was easy to follow.

Well done, Mike. Came off very well.

Mike: Good.
Fox: Bad.
I am interested to know what an appearance on FOX does to Freshbooks daily site traffic and/or new account sign-ups though.

Nice interview, I bet you’ll get a lot of new customers trying out freshbooks from that appearance. You did a good job explaining freshbooks in a very short time.

Great job guys!

Great interview. As far as getting your name out there, word of mouth is definitely the best bet. From 2005 through the first half of 2008, I used my own server-side PHP application (cinvoice) for handling online payment, only. This summer, I found out about Freshbooks after reading a C|Net article about online invoicing companies – needless to say, this got my attention since the daily managing (and worrying) about my own online billing system was annoying me. I joined Freshbooks, and have not looked back. The invoicing system and ticketing system is superb, and I get comments weekly bout how “cool” Freshbooks is, and how easy it is to use. For me, the best part is in addition to getting paid quickly and being able to log tickets, it’s clean, it’s quick, and I no longer have to wake up in the AM to handle a problem with my original billing system.
Continue the great work. I know I’ll be here for a long time.
5:33 pm
Way to go Mike. Great interview, quick and to the point. I was recently at a wedding in Idaho and needed to get some invoices printed. My computer was offline and I turned to my Freshbooks account. In no time I had my invoices done and getting paid. Thanks, keep up the good work!
11:32 pm
Good inteview! Although when they said “go public” that is always scary. it seems that when a good company “goes public” they end up selling out (and their clients) to money and sacrifice the quality of what originally made them big. Keep it and GO BIG, but stay private.
2:15 pm
Mike is one of the greatest most sincere CEO’s for a company I have ever met. Here, he simply shows it again, and he makes it look simple.
Good Job Freshbooks!
1:32 pm
Great interview Mike! It’s refreshing (no pun intended) to see something positive in the financial news, and having it about Freshbooks is even better. I’ve been using your service since March of 2005 and it has been invaluable.
Thank you.
12:38 pm
Wonderful Job as usual Mike.
Keep up the great work to all at Freshbooks.
It’s amazing actually, when we first met and got you speaking to our group you where at 300,000 subscribers – that was only a year ago. NOW you are at 500,000.
The reality of this, no country, no global nation grows as fast as FreshBooks in one whole year.
Totally impressive.
2:07 pm
Great Interview, great product.
7:09 pm
Great Job! Love your product. Stay focused on our needs and you will see more growth then you can handle.
Happy Customer!

Great interview! Nice to hear your company is growing.
I think one of the keys to your software is that is it actually fun to use. It adds interest to an otherwise boring task which I usually dread!
Laura
P.S. If you need extra help with web applicaiton development, you don’t have to look far!

I’m not one of those who had more revenue in 08 than 07… but even so, I think FB is even more valuable during a downturn because I get paid so much faster than I used to in my pre-FB days. With less money coming in, I certainly can’t afford to wait around for it!
5:31 pm
Hiring, eh?
So if you hire a freelancer, and that freelancer invoices you using FreshBooks, does the Internet implode?
3:00 am
YEY!! Mike – great responses. You came across like bomb-diggety CEO! I adore FB and I am sure you’ve seen the numbers climb in Spokane Washington because of my rave reviews

Greetings Mike:
My name is Jack Kaser & I am the CEO of NEXTLevelBusiness, a marketing & growth strategy firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our services are focused on developing powerful go-to-market strategies and helping small business entrepreneurs build high-profit companies. Until recently, we only worked with our client/partners on a monthly retainer fee and never had to send out monthly invoices. With the current economic conditions, we have been asked by several new business prospects if we would be willing to work with them on a project basis and bill for our time on an hourly basis. With that in mind and not wanting to turn down business, I looked for an online solution and that’s when I came across FreshBooks.com. Today I signed up to create a new account and am looking forward to giving your software solution a test drive. So far, it seems like it’s exactly what we were looking for. I wish you much success in 2009!
Respectfully,
Jack Kaser,

Everyone is tired of this economical downturn. My children are still in awe from not being able to get what it is their more successful parents’ classmates have. A new car, pair of roller blades and so on. But I am not a horse! =(
