As a member of the accounting profession that earns his living devising and implementing financial systems strategy I can confirm that there is significant appetite from within the profession to eliminate Excel from as many scenarios are possible.</description>

		<description>agreed.  I guess what I&#039;m saying is there are countless opportunities to build applications that do not try to replace excel, but instead are designed to perform the litany of activities people are trying to do in excel, but for which excel was not designed to do.

But such systems as Dabble DB (or similar data-driven web apps) are universal solutions, capable of replacing Excel in each aspect of functionality, which can&#039;t be reduced only to time tracking (or invoicing).</description>
