Database Administrator

Our database is BIG, and we're looking for some more firepower to come on board and help us wrangle it now and for the future. We need an independent, disciplined DBA who can both manage our existing database (and help keep ongoing development there steady and manageable), AND help us design the future of FreshBooks data. You Will:

Manage our development team's database work, establishing processes and providing tools to ensure that all work is done in an orderly fashion. Bring massive design chops to bear on new work as we expand our product line and find ever-new ways of looking after our customers.

We NEED you to have:

• 5+ years' experience as a DBA on MySQL databases
• 2-3 years' experience with object-oriented design and development
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision and help foster solid DB practices
• Serious communication skills (note that your application to us will be the first demonstration of these skills, so make it solid)
