We're Hiring:

Product Manager

Product Management at FreshBooks is all about envisioning a better future for FreshBooks customers, and turning that vision into a reality. Specifically, you'll be working on both existing and future FreshBooks products that make the lives of our small business customers easier, and more fun. Your task is to turn the seemingly mundane into the excitedly extraordinary by collaborating with our team of PMs, Designers, Marketers, and Developers, from concept through execution and delivery.

You will be responsible for:

  • Defining new improvements for our web application, gathering requirements & documenting designs
  • Helping prioritize the order things get built (we can't do everything, and you'll need to make tough trade-offs)
  • Working with our design and development teams to define and design new features (you're the pivot point for the team)
  • Project managing all of your projects from start to finish (we are Agile, and ship software weekly)
  • Reviewing designs and implemented code with the team
  • Training staff on new features and changes to our products
  • Communicating everything going on with your product (tell it on the mountain!)
  • Working with outside vendors and partner companies to deliver additional Add-Ons to our product that aren't part of our core offering
  • Be an expert on what our competition is up to, and predicting what they might do next
  • Selecting outside vendors when appropriate, and providing business cases and ROI calculations for the projects you are leading

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Minimum 4 years of Product Management experience with web applications
  • A background or passion for user experience and design
  • Technical understanding of the limitations and possibilities within the Web application space
  • Proven leadership in a team environment within the software industry, preferably in Software As a Service
  • Contributed to a web application with more than 10,000 users

Some of the benefits of joining the team today:

  • Impact the lives of small business owners everywhere… your work will have true meaning
  • Start-up environment with very high ceilings, casual dress code, stock-options, and flexible work hours
  • A unique company culture that emphasizes honesty, fun, and empathy
  • A flat corporate hierarchy giving you anytime access to anyone in the company including our CEO
  • We don't expect you to work weekends, and want you to have a life outside of FreshBooks
  • Our new office is in Roncesvalles, very close to the Bloor subway line, tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and watering holes

If you think this job is right up your alley, then send a cover letter along with a resume explaining why you think you meet the criteria stated above. If you make the first sentence of your cover letter rhyme, we guarantee our Director of Product Management will personally read your resume. Send us your resume to careers@freshbooks.com.

No telecommuting positions are available at this time.
All of our roles require candidates to
work out of our lovely Toronto office.
