When we say "support" at FreshBooks, we don't mean it in the way you're probably used to. We mean: we really support FreshBooks customers. We're there for them. We take an active interest in their business, cheer them on, and go out of our way to make their day better. Customer support is never an afterthought; never something we have to do - it's what we want to do. That's one of the things that defines us.

You will:

  • Answer support phone calls from users that need our help and go above and beyond to provide the best customer service experience ever!
  • Respond to users' email inquiries in a timely, personable and accurate way
  • Provide advice on how our customers can better use FreshBooks for their business.
  • Moderate our public forums and make sure that everyone there has the answers they need.
  • Do all of that with a spring in your step, a song on your lips and a sparkle in your eye
  • Depending on your level of initiative and creativity, you'll also have the opportunity to work on Support-related projects and Culture-related projects - helping to keep FreshBooks the most fun place to work ever.

We need you to have:

  • Front-line customer service experience
  • Passion for providing extraordinary support experiences for all customers
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to take ownership of issues or problems without instruction
  • An ability to see projects through to completion with minimal oversight
  • A supreme comfort with the Interwebs (you are going to be providing technical support after all!)
  • A knack for empathy: to really listen to our customers and think yourself into their shoes
  • A jones for learning; growing and continually taking on new responsibilities

It would be cool if you had

  • Passion for writing (for FAQs, blog posts, etc.) and/or
  • Sense of design/layouts to help create some user-facing pages, e.g., FAQ entries, how-to guides, etc., and/or
  • Experience working with SQL
