Import Clients

To import client records:

  1. Click your "Home" tab.
  2. Click your white "Import/Export" link at the top of your page.
  3. Select the type of file that you want to import by clicking on its blue name link located below your "Import" heading.  Detailed instructions will appear after clicking the link.
  4. Browse your local file system for your file.
  5. Click your Import button located just below your "Import file" field.

Additional Information

Important: You should review the client information you just imported to ensure all information has been added and updated correctly.  For example, a missed comma in a CSV file could result in an incorrect email address.

Universal Text File: This file must be comma separated with each client record in a row and the following fields in this order: Organization, FirstName, LastName, Email, Street, Street2, City, Province, Country, PostalCode, BusPhone, HomePhone, MobPhone, Fax, SecondaryStreet, SecondaryStreet2, SecondaryCity, SecondaryProvince, SecondaryCountry, SecondaryPostalCode.

Quickbooks: This is an IIF export from the Quickbooks program.

Simply Accounting: This is a file exported from the Simply Accounting program.
