Toronto-based cloud accounting specialist FreshBooks won gold at the Stevie Awards for "Best Front-Line Customer Service Team." The award, widely considered to be among the most prestigious awards in the world for sales and service teams, was accepted by four members of the Canadian company at a ceremony on Las Vegas.
FreshBooks spends boatloads of money on customer support because that’s what keeps users coming back and encourages them to spread the word. An investor could see that as an unnecessary cost that could be outsourced or automated, McDerment said.
The FreshBooks iPad app enables all the features that one might expect from the cloud-based accounting platform, including the ability to create and manage invoices, estimates, expenses, and projects all in one place.
