September '09 Supper Club – Dinners, Picnics and Basecamp!

Whoa! Did you feel that? That was August just blowing by us. Time flies when you are having fun and so far this summer has been a good one at FreshBooks on so many fronts. Customer dinners, contests, Sumo wrestling and even a giant zucchini!

And that means this month’s issue of the Supper Club is jam packed for you. All for the same low, low price!

So, sit back, relax and clear the area around you to make room for what’s inside as we bring you this month’s issue of the Supper Club - bursting with a wide assortment of delicious delights and the freshest news from inside the FreshBooks walls delivered straight to your inbox.

We've enhanced our Basecamp integration! Now when you create an invoice from Basecamp and (here comes the new part...) FreshBooks will notify you if any of the project to-do items have been invoiced already, and which invoices they were charged to so it's easier to track what you've billed already. Sweet!

Basecamp was one of our very first integrations and continues to be one of our most popular add-ons. It was one of our first because, quite frankly, it was and continues to be the leading project management application for small business.

To celebrate these useful updates, our friends at 37signals are offering a special discount for FreshBooks customers.

News & Stuff from Inside the FB Walls

Workshops Headed to Vancouver, Boston & Chicago

Look out Windy City, Van City and Bean Town – FreshBooks is headed your way! In our last edition of the Supper Club, we asked for your input on where we should take our next How to Build a Web App Business Workshop. And tell us you did. Our fearless leader is planning to visit three more cities to share the lessons he's learned building FreshBooks. Vote now for your city before it’s too late!

Dining in Tampa, San Fran & San Antonio is Good!

When we travel we like to take our customers out to dinner in the cities we're in. We've been doing it for years now - in fact it was the inspiration for the name of this email (the err...Supper Club!). Here are some great photos taken in August and some of the dinners we had away from home (we're from Toronto!).

Mike was in San Francisco where over 70 customers gathered for festivities, and believe it or not, everyone you see in the photo above was there for the FreshBooks dinner.

Mitch was in Tampa attending the Front End Design Conference and was totally blown away when 26 FreshBooks customers took him up on his offer for dinner at the local Tampa P.F. Chang’s.

To have all of you take time out of your personal lives and spend it with us is the ultimate inspiration and motivation that keeps us pumped. And, while we can’t meet everyone (maybe we will one day), this newsletter - the Supper Club, is our way of trying to share what goes on here, and who we are, with as many of you as possible where an actual dinner is not taking place. Thanks for being here.

Hurry! Help Send Us Back to SXSW

SXSW Interactive is the biggest party (err...conference) of the year for the Web industry - we know from our collective experiences over the past four years. From driving an RV across the southern United States to unveiling a movement to bring together like-minded, customer-obsessed software companies, we don’t hold back when we go. And we want to go again in 2010.

But for us to return, we need you to help vote us in! Voting ends Friday, so please hurry and check out the panels we’ve submitted and click on the little thumbs up icon. Thanks in advance!
