How it Works with FreshBooks
When you enable Braintree on your invoice, your client will be presented with the option to pay the invoice online by entering their credit card information.
How to Get Started
- Sign up for a Braintree account (If you already have an account, skip to #2)
- Log in to your FreshBooks account
- Click on the “Settings” tab in the top right corner and then on the “Accept Credit Cards” tab
- Click on the “Other Payment Gateway Options” link and click to activate Braintree
- In the pop-up window, enter your Braintree Merchant ID, Public Key, and Private Key. (You can find this information in your Braintree account – go to the Control Panel and click Account > My User and then click the orange link titled API Keys)
- Click “save” to complete your Braintree activation
