Roadburn 2.0: FreshBooks is going “on the road” again

September 3, 2011

The fourth act of the book “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac is all about Sal getting the itch to travel again after noticing that he has been reduced to simple pleasures, listening to baseball games, and doing card tricks. Like Sal from the book, we (Sarah, the Moriarty to my Paradise, John and Amanda and Myself) are venturing out on the road and reviving FreshBooks Roadburn.

From September 9th to 17th the four of us will be touring from Los Angeles to Portland with lots of stops in between to see interesting things, meet customers and host some events.

For those keeping score, we did this back in 2008 travelling from Miami to Texas and the original RoadBurn left people happy and confused as to why a company would treat their customers so well.

This time will be no different!

Just like in the book, On the Road, we start our journey with a quest to Los Angeles. Once there we will meet new friends, re-connect with old ones and explore the sights.

From there we will be in San Francisco for TechCrunch Disrupt as well as a dinner for FreshBooks Customers on a private island!

…and to close it all out we shall follow the words of Kerouac one last time when he wrote ” Somewhere along the line I’d know there would be girls, visions, everything; somewhere along the line the pearl would be handed to me.” and proceed to be handed the pearl in Portland’s Pearl District to visit more customers, attend two conferences and drink a little beer.

So if you are a FreshBooks Customer in any of these cities watch your email inbox for invites to hang out with us and create some new memories!
