How do I manage Clients on the mobile app?

In FreshBooks, the people you send Invoices or Estimates to are Clients. You can add, manage and delete your Clients as your business grows.


iOS Devices

To add a Client on your iOS device, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the green Create new… bar at the bottom and select Client, or on the Clients section
  2. Home tab showing create new button and clients section.
  3. Tap on the + button in the top right
  4. You can either choose from:
    • Import from Contacts - this will require you to grant permission to your Contacts so you can bring in a pre-filled contact from your phone
    • Create New - you can manually enter in information on your new Client
  5. New client or import from contact options.
  6. For a new Client, type in the Client’s information (e.g, name, email, address, phone, Internal Notes). The email field is the only mandatory field when creating a new Client
  7. Client profile with fields you can fill in with more information.
  8. You can also tap on Add Additional Contact to add any secondary contacts to the main Client’s profile
  9. When you’re done, tap on Save in the top right corner to finish.

Android Devices

To add a Client on your Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Clients section
  2. Home page showing client button.
  3. In the list of your Clients, tap on the + button in the top right
  4. You can either choose from:
    • Create New - you can manually enter in information on your new Client
    • Import from Contacts - this will require you to grant permission to your Contacts so you can bring in a pre-filled contact from your phone
  5. New client or import from contact buttons.
  6. For a new Client, type in the Client’s Organization Name and email, which are mandatory fields
  7. Organization and email fields for new client.
  8. Tap on More at the bottom to enter in additional details like the name, address, phone number, and internal notes

  10. Scroll down further and you can also tap on Add Another Contact to add any secondary contacts to the main Client’s profile
  11. Add another contact button to create a secondary contact.
  12. When you’re done, press on Save in the top right corner to finish.

FAQs

What if I choose to import from my Contacts?

You’re able to import Clients from your device’s contact list by clicking on Import from Contacts from the Client section. All contacts with an email address will only be shown, and you can select the contact(s) you wish to import into FreshBooks. All their details are then imported into your account in the Clients’ profiles.
