How do I create Estimates on the mobile app?

Estimates allow you to create and send an approximate outline of your Items or Services to your Client for approval before beginning the work. Once the Estimate is approved by the Client, you can easily convert it into an Invoice to start collecting payment!


iOS Devices

Create An Estimate

To create an Estimate using the iOS app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Estimates section
  2. Then tap on the +button in the top right
  3. You’ll now be able to add details to your Estimate: New estimate screen.
    • Estimate Number - This is automatically incremented by +1 for you. If you ever need to change it, you can tap on this to rename it
    • Date of Issue - The date of the Estimate
    • Add Client - Choose the Client you’re sending this Estimate to
    • Add Line - Tap on this to see your existing Items and Tasks to add to your Estimate. You can also create new Items and Tasks with the + symbol at the top right
    • Terms - Add any details like standard payment terms
    • Notes (visible to Client) - Add a summary or details if required
    • Add Discount - You can enter a percentage discount which will apply to the whole Estimate
    • Add PO Number - If you’re referencing a PO on this Estimate, add the number here
  4. Tap on Save in the top right to finish.


Additional Estimate Options

There are additional actions that you can take on an Estimate:

  • Convert to Invoice - This converts the entire Estimate into an Invoice for you
  • Mark as Accepted - This marks the Estimate as Accepted
  • Send By Email - Sends the Estimate by email. You can tap on the To field to also email to secondary contacts, customize your Subject line and Message as needed

Android Devices

Create An Estimate

To create an Estimate using the Android app, follow these steps:

  1. Swipe to the second page and tap on the Estimates section
  2. Then tap on the +button in the top right
  3. You’ll now be able to add details to your Estimate: New estimate screen.
    • Client - Choose the Client you’re sending this Estimate to
    • Line Items - Tap on this to add Tasks or Items to your Estimate. You can also create new Tasks and Items with the Create New (Task/Item) button at the top of the list of options
    • Terms - Add any details like standard payment terms
    • Notes (visible to Client) - Add a summary or details if required
  4. For more options, tap on the More button to reveal additional fields: More fields for estimate.
    • Date of Issue - The date of the Estimate
    • Estimate Number - This is automatically incremented by +1 for you. If you ever need to change it, you can tap on this to rename it
    • PO Number - If you’re referencing a PO on this Estimate, add the number here
    • Discount - You can enter a percentage discount which will apply to the whole Estimate
  5. Tap on Save in the top right to finish.

Additional Estimate Options

There are additional actions that you can take on an Estimate. Just open an Estimate, and tap on the …More Actions button.
