I am getting an error that says “Sorry, your login does not have access to the API”. What should I do?

Are you getting the following error message when trying to log into the mobile app?

  If so, you probably are not logging in with your admin credentials and are logging in using a client’s username and password. This error can also be caused if you clicked on a link we sent to a client, as this will automatically log you into the account as a client. To resolve this problem, just follow these steps 1. Go to your subdomain (usually something like in Safari on your iDevice 2. This will take you to your account and you should see a “Logout” button on the upper right of the page. Tap on it 3. Go back to the FreshBooks iPhone application and log in using your admin or staff username and password.   This should resolve the problem and will connect the app to your account to sync the information onto the device.
