Using PayPal and Stripe with FreshBooks

Who is it for:

  • Users looking for a quick and easy set up

Benefits:

  • Quick and easy setup
  • Your clients are kept inside the FreshBooks interface when making a payment
  • Auto-bill capable without the need for a merchant account
  • Earnings are automatically transferred to your bank account on a 7-day rolling basis

Disadvantage:

  • Only email support available. However, they will give you a call if the issue cannot be resolved through email correspondence

Who is it for?

  • Users looking for a quick and easy set up
  • Allows your Clients to pay you from their PayPal account or by credit card.

Benefits:

  • Quick and easy setup
  • Allows your clients to pay you from their PayPal account
  • Discount rate for larger payments

Disadvantages:

  • Not auto-bill capable
  • Takes your clients to a PayPal interface, outside of FreshBooks, when they are paying your invoice
  • Money has to be manually withdrawn from the PayPal account
  • Your clients may hit the Guest Checkout Limit, which will require them to create or log into a PayPal account to pay you or use another credit card.

Who is it for?

  • International FreshBooks users
  • Users looking for a quick and easy set up
  • Anyone who wishes to allow their clients to pay them via PayPal

Additional info:

PayPal Business Payments is an available option to US users who are billing their US customers for invoices under $10,000 USD. The fee for this option is only $0.50 per transaction!
