Where did all my old expense categories go since you introduced the tax-friendly categories?
Recently, FreshBooks made organizing your expenses easier by providing all accounts with tax-friendly categories: expense categories that are commonly found on tax forms for claiming your business expenses.
Any expense categories that you had in your account before can still be found under a new category called “Other Expenses”. If you want to continue using your previous categories rather than the new tax-friendly categories, just click on “Other Expenses” in the category drop-down when creating/editing an expense—you’ll find them all there!
However, if you want to re-categorize your existing expenses into the new tax-friendly categories there’s a simple way to do that, too.
