New & Improved in FreshBooks: Accounts Payable, Cash Flow Report, and More

Always improving! These are FreshBooks' latest product updates for December 2020.

2020 has been filled with plenty of product updates on FreshBooks, and more are still being added. Here’s a look at all the new and improved features that launched in December.

Easily Manage Your Bills With Accounts Payable

Do you pay for an internet bill every month? Or pay rent for office space? Accounts Payable in FreshBooks makes it easy to track every bill payment you make and owe to vendors. Plus, run reports like Profit & Loss and Cash Flow Statement to know exactly where you stand at tax time and beyond. Learn more here.

Use the Cash Flow Report to Track Your Cash on Hand

Keep track of every dollar your business is making and spending with the new Cash Flow Report. It even allows you to easily adjust the date range to get a better sense of how your bottom line is changing over time. Here’s what it looks like.

Include a Second Line on Your Client’s Address

You can now be more accurate when adding a client’s address. Use the Street 2 line for any secondary address including unit or office number. Learn how here.

Add Hyperlinks to Your Invoice Item Descriptions

HTML links in an invoice item’s description section can now properly be clicked, allowing you to add a live URL for you and your clients.

Track Multiple Phone Numbers for Your Clients

Two additional phone number fields have been added to your Client Profiles. This allows you to easily keep track of multiple phone numbers for your Clients. Learn how here.

Client Profiles Now Have a Recurring Templates Tab

You can now easily see all active Recurring Templates for a client inside their Client Profile. This makes it easier to see when to expect payments from a particular client.

Select Preferred Contacts on New Invoices, Expenses, and Proposals

When sending Invoices, Estimates or Proposals to multiple contacts, FreshBooks will now remember those contacts going forward. That way, any future items you send to a Client will have those contacts added to ‘send to’ by default.

Choose to Accept Only ACH Through the iOS App

You can now send invoices with ACH as the only payment option through the iOS app. It’s a great way to ensure your clients settle invoices the way you want. It also means getting paid as fast as credit cards, with a fee of only 1% per transaction.
