Chrometa is a timer that automatically captures the time you’re spending on your work. I use GeckoBoard with Freshbooks widgets. I like it but there needs to be another time (Period) option. The current options are today, yesterday, past 7 days and past 30 days. If you have invoices open outside of that period, it doesn’t show. It’s a nice snapshot to see what your 30 day turn is but if you also want to capture the total value of your unpaid invoices, you can’t.

I know people use this information differently but not being able to see the total value of outstanding invoices seems to be an oversight.

Are there any plans for this functionality in the near future?

Thanks for your comments, I agree that it would be useful to see outstanding invoices outside of the 30 day period. Have you tried contacting GeckoBoard with your feedback? They developed the integration with FreshBooks, so they might be able to help you out. You can get in touch with them on their website,

Scot – just to follow up, this widget is now available on Geckoboard.

It’s a simple widget that just shows the total value of currently outstanding invoices over all time.

At the moment I am constantly traveling and sometimes there’s no internet. I want to be working on my accounts, which I use Freshbooks to do. Is there a way that I can do that and see what I’ve done and where I am without being online? Thanks!

Add-ons like MiniBooks for the iPhone let you create, and modify, invoices even when you don’t have an internet connection.
