The FreshBooks interview process
We take a human-centered approach to talent acquisition, striving for a welcoming, inclusive experience that allows candidates to showcase what makes them great. We know this is your chance to interview us and get to know the FreshBooks culture firsthand. We encourage you to ask us pretty much anything. In general, you can expect the following steps in your process:
Recruiter conversation
This is a shorter meeting with a member of our talent acquisition team to start your journey. We want to learn more about you beyond what you’ve shared “on paper” and tell you more about FreshBooks and the role, too.
Hiring manager conversation
This is an hour-long conversation with the hiring manager (sometimes joined by a team member) to better understand your skills and experience and how they align with the role.
Team assessment(s)/ conversation(s)
This involves 1 to 2 conversations with team members to understand your craft mastery and your approach to collaborating with a team. These interviews could include a technical assessment or case study presentation.
Executive conversation
Depending on the role level, a short conversation with a senior leadership team member of a given department is needed to learn more about how you want to grow in the coming years and how those goals align with FreshBooks’ long-term vision.
