My client is trying to pay a partially paid invoice through PayPal but it won’t let them pay the same invoice twice!
Ever had your customer try and pay an invoice online across multiple payments, only to have them receive an error message?
This is happening because of a setting in your PayPal account that is preventing multiple payments on the same invoice, but it can be changed!
To adjust your PayPal account to allow for multiple payments on the same invoice:
- Go to “Seller Preferences” on the bottom left
- Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Block Payments’
- Choose “No, allow multiple Payments per invoice ID” and save
Note that the above settings are not available if you have a PayPal Personal account. Unfortunately, this option is not available for personal accounts. You will have to create another invoice to accept a payment from your client.
