How to qualify for this offer
Upgrade your existing FreshBooks Lite ($1.00 for 12 months) subscription to the Plus plan during the promotional period, using the in-app or emailed upgrade offer. No action is taken automatically—you must accept the offer by clicking and confirming the upgrade. Offer may terminate at any time without any prior notice at FreshBooks’ discretion.

Eligibility
This offer is available only to existing FreshBooks customers on the Solopreneur Lite plan (customers who purchased the $1/month for 12 months Lite offer) who upgrade to an eligible Plus plan during the promotional period (“Eligible Subscriber”). It is not available to new customers or to customers on any plan other than the ($1.00 for 12 months) Lite plan.
This offer is limited to one per customer, not per account.
Promotional Period
This offer is available to Eligible Subscribers beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on September 14, 2026. The offer has no scheduled end date. FreshBooks may modify or terminate it at any time without prior notice; Eligible Subscribers who have already accepted the offer will not be affected by its termination.
The Offer
The eligible plan under this offer is the FreshBooks Plus plan.
- Monthly plans: Get your first month of Plus free, then 50% off the Plus plan ($21.50 USD/month or $21 CAD/month) for the next 6 months. After this 7-month promotional period (1 free month plus 6 discounted months), you will be billed at the then-current standard monthly price for the Plus plan.
- Yearly plans: Get a one-time discount of $155 USD/$155 CAD off the cost of your first year of Plus. The discounted amount is billed at the time of purchase. After the first 12 months, your subscription renews automatically at the then-current standard annual price for the Plus plan.
How proration works on yearly plans
If you are currently on an annual subscription, the unused portion of your current plan is credited toward your upgrade, so the amount you are charged today may be lower than your first-year total.
Because this is a fixed-dollar discount, any portion of the $155 not used on today's charge remains on your account and is applied to your next invoice. You will receive the full $155 value either way.
Other terms
The discount applies from the date you upgrade to Plus, regardless of when during the promotional period you upgrade.
Upgrading to Plus ends your $1/month Lite promotional pricing; the Plus offer pricing described above applies from the upgrade date.

Staying on Lite
Accepting this offer is optional. You may choose to remain on the Lite plan. The Lite plan supports up to 5 billable clients; you may delete a client at any time to stay within the Lite plan limit.
