FreshBooks’ Third Politeness Index: Which Province is Most Polite?
FreshBooks released the results of its 2023 Politeness Index – Canada, which determined Manitoba has the most polite small business owners in the country, followed by Prince Edward Island and Ontario. FreshBooks analyzed proprietary invoice data to uncover which small business owners (by province) are the most likely to use polite terminology to get paid faster.
Methodology: FreshBooks analyzed over 2 million invoices sent in 2023 from Canadian customers. The invoices included the following terms: please, thank you, appreciate, sincerely, and regards. Note: Territories were excluded due to insufficient sample size.
